Misconceptions About Living With RA

May is Arthritis Awareness Month - so I've contributed to this RheumatoidArthritis.net video discussing common RA misconceptions

What misconceptions about living with RA have you encountered?

  1. the biggest misconception I find is that somehow having RA is really osteoarthritis but amped up. I think Osteoarthrosis is bad enough. No need to amp it up as if it is worse. I have seldom met a person who claims they have osteoarthritis. Instead, they say my knee hurts it is the RA. I want to honor their pain and I wish they would honor mine. Not more, just different and the same.

Thanks so much for leaving a comment! I really appreciate the support and I love hearing from all of you! My blog is a forum for finding support and discussing life with RA so I will try to publish and respond to comments as soon as I can!

Unfortunately, I have been getting a lot of nonsense comments with spam links in them recently. This means that I have had to turn the comment moderation on. My blog is not a place for advertizing, so if your comment contains a spam link it will not be published. Please respect my blog.

Thank you.
