Secrect Post #17: "Morning" Sickness

NOTE: This post is part of a series that I wrote in secret during the months before I announced my pregnancy. The series chronicles my pregnancy journey: from weaning off my RA meds, to trying to conceive, to searching for helpful advice and information, to discovering I was pregnant, to the ups and downs of my first trimester. You can read all the posts in this series here.

TMI Warning: This post contains details about pregnancy that you may consider to be too much information. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Well, I just barfed up my breakfast and my morning prenatal vitamins. And though I didn't actually barf yesterday, I had "morning" sickness literally all day yesterday. Like, every hour of the day.

I hope these intense symptoms mean I'm carrying a really strong baby! At least that's what I'll keep telling myself as I pray to the porcelain god.

Sorry I didn't say it sooner, I just got caught up on all of your "secret" posts, but I'm sooo happy for you, congratulations! I'm also glad to see that you were blogging the whole time even though you weren't posting about it. My hubs and I regretted telling everyone that we were trying, especially since it's been over 2 years now. It just adds that extra bit of stress that we don't need. Luckily everyone has backed off now and we've decided to keep our next round of embryo transfer a secret from everyone, aside from our parents and my blog readers who have been a huge support through everything. :)

Sorry to hear you lost your job, but I was glad to hear that you decided to keep trying even with the set back. You were right, you'd already gone through so much that stopping and trying again would have been an absolute nightmare. Things always work out in the end and I'm sure that you would agree that everything you've gone though has been well worth it.

Well congrats again and thanks for all of your kind words and support through our baby making adventure. :)

P.S. Have you tried Ginger Ale or ginger chews to curb the morning sickness? It helped me and I know it's helped a lot of my friends during their pregnancies.

CHRISTINA: Thanks so much for your support - it means a lot to me. And I'm still sending all the good thoughts I can your way and I wish you the very most luck on your next transfer. I think you are so very brave that you never give up. ~;o)

And, yeah, ginger can be really great for morning sickness, but I sort of lost my taste for it when I vomited some of it back up - it burned! After that I switched to Lemonheads. ~;o)

Yeah, regurgitated ginger...not so appealing. :D My JRA has made me too stubborn to give up on anything. Plus, the payoff will be worth it. Happy Holidays!
